The sound had to reflect Vienna's elegance and cultural depth without relying on clichés, ensuring it resonated authentically with both locals and tourists.
The Vienna Tourist Board’s Sound Identity captures Vienna’s essence through a modern, operatic sound that reflects the city’s sensuality, refinement, and timeless appeal. Composed of a distinctive Sound Logo and immersive Soundscape, this identity transforms the spirit of Vienna into an auditory experience. The Sound Logo, a four-second melody that unfolds with orchestral depth and rhythmic energy, evokes the city’s dynamic allure, echoing the brand’s tagline, “Now or Never.” The accompanying Soundscape creates an extended, adaptable atmosphere that can be tailored to various touchpoints, allowing listeners to fully immerse in the brand.
This Sound Identity is integral to Vienna’s global marketing strategy, appearing in events across major cities like London and Milan, as well as in television spots on networks such as CNN. With extensive resources, including a detailed Sound Briefing and Sound Manual, the Vienna Tourist Board ensures consistent, impactful use of sound across all brand touchpoints, solidifying Vienna as an unforgettable destination.
