Service Detail

What's our service turnaround time?
Our standard turnaround time for sound design requests is typically three days. For more complex projects and consulting services, additional time may be required. Please note that we work exclusively on regular workdays. Refer to this page for a list of public holidays in Austria.
Is there a request limit?
No, there is no limit. You can submit as many sound design requests as needed, and each will be addressed sequentially to ensure quality.
How to submit design requests?
Submit requests via Trello. It supports direct links, Google Docs sharing, and video uploads via Loom, making the communication and submission process seamless.
What software is used for design?
All sound designs are composed using Ableton Live, a leading software in the sound design industry.
What sound design work is excluded?
Our services do not include multi-channel audio, sheet music creation, or projects requiring external hires for specialized audio recordings.
Access to all the completed requests?
Yes, you will have full access to all your completed files and the Sound Manual, a comprehensive guide, throughout the entire duration of your active subscription.

Subscription & Billing

Subscription length and renewal?
Subscriptions are monthly and renew automatically to guarantee seamless service. There’s no need to take any action if you wish to continue enjoying our offerings.
When can I cancel my subscription?
You can cancel your subscription at any time. You will continue to have access to our services until the end of your paid subscription period.
What if I have only one request?
You can benefit from our services even with a single request. Simply cancel your subscription once your needs are met, and reactivate it when more designs are required.
What is a subscription adjustment?
A subscription adjustment compensates for any downtime due to illness or vacation. If I am ill, your subscription will be extended to cover the lost time. Additionally, I schedule vacations twice a year, each lasting two weeks, with two weeks‘ notice. These vacation days are also added to your subscription period to ensure no loss of service. You can view your subscription adjustments in the Subscription Management card on your Trello board.
How does subscription pausing work?
You can pause your subscription at any time by canceling the active subscription. You can restart your subscription anytime you need.
What is your refund policy?
Due to the bespoke nature of our services, refunds are not provided. However, we ensure satisfaction through unlimited revisions.

Getting Started & Quality Assurance

Unfamiliar with sound branding?
No problem. As experts, we can help you refine your sound needs or create sound guidelines for future use. We recommend starting with a consultation for a sound audit, followed by developing a sound strategy, a sound identity, and a sound application roadmap. This ensures your sound branding aligns with your overall brand strategy.
Who composes the sound designs?
Herwig Kusatz, the founder of Sound Strategy, personally composes all sound designs, ensuring consistent, high-quality output tailored to your specifications.
What are the copyright rules?
Your subscription includes worldwide copyright usage rights for your brand, excluding reselling. All contributions must be credited as (Music © Herwig Kusatz – [YEAR]).
Unhappy with a design?
We offer unlimited revisions to ensure the sound design meets your expectations.
Why not hire a full-time designer?
Hiring a senior-level sound designer can cost over €100,000 annually. Our subscription model offers flexibility and cost efficiency, adapting to your project needs without the commitment of a full-time salary. It also includes access to a sound branding consultant, ensuring long-term strategic value and expert guidance.
How to get help or support?
If you are interested in our service, book a 15-minute intro call to get answers to your questions. For our clients, to ensure our collaboration is as smooth and effective as possible, we encourage all interactions to occur through your Trello board.
